We asked Doreen to share her experience and adventures as a Travel Nurse…
How long have you been traveling? 8 years
What has been your favorite city/town to work in? Yuma, AZ
What do you love most about being a Travel Nurse? Â I love travel nursing for the flexibility and the money that I can earn by doing what I love.
Describe your most memorable Travel Nursing Experience. Most memorable travel experience was my assignment in Yuma, AZ. I really enjoyed learning about the area. Who knew it was the lettuce capital of the world? I had no idea so much vegetables were grown in the middle of the dessert. Weekly trips over the border to Mexico were always fun. I also met a lot of great people.Â
What advice do you have for a first-time traveler? Be flexible. Keep an open mind. Make new friends. Explore, explore, explore. Try and save some money weekly, so you can take some time off between contracts.
