My Recruiter Advice
Before embarking on your travels, make sure to plan and organize your assignments, accommodation, transportation, and any necessary paperwork. Research your destination thoroughly to familiarize yourself with local healthcare systems, laws, and cultural norms. Having a well-structured plan in place will help minimize stress and ensure a smooth experience.
Maintaining a healthy work-life balance can be challenging as a traveling healthcare professional. While it’s important to be dedicated to your work, make time for yourself and prioritize activities that bring you joy and relaxation. Explore your surroundings, engage in hobbies, connect with locals, and make an effort to create a sense of home wherever you go. Remember, taking care of your well-being ultimately enhances your ability to provide quality healthcare.
Flexibility is key when working as a traveling healthcare professional. Be prepared to adapt to different healthcare settings, patient populations, and healthcare policies. Embrace the opportunity to learn new skills and approaches from different healthcare professionals you encounter during your travels.
Reliable communication is crucial while traveling, especially for healthcare professionals who may need to stay in touch with colleagues, agencies, or patients. Make sure you have a reliable mobile phone plan or a portable Wi-Fi device. Keep important contact numbers handy and consider using secure communication apps to protect sensitive information.

Get to know me
John Q (I am a sucker for Dad’s who love their kids)
I would be able to give a Nurse 10 hours of sleep with just a high five.
I had a great connection with a nurse, and when I called her back an hour later to get some details she yelled at me and told me never to call her again. A few minutes later, she called back and asked, “Are you the recruiter who lived in San Diego for a little bit” in which I replied, “yes”. Then she apologized and said, “I like you!” . Come to find out she thought I was a different recruiter from another agency that she didn’t like and she was cutting ties with him so that she could work with me lol
Spending time with my kiddos!
I believe that any Nurse in the healthcare world is inspirational and influential! I have yet meet a nurse that didn’t have a crazy story on their floor in regards to a procedure or patient that wasn’t inspiring!Â
That Nurses are human beings just like everyone else! Before recruiting in this industry, I never factored in how nurses work through sleepless nights, dealing with family situations, and still find a way to put aside their personal problems to help someone in need!Â
Joke: I told a nurse that I was bitten by a wolf one day in the ER. She replied, “Where?”. I told her, “No, a regular one”Â
NICU. My son was in the NICU when he was born and the nurse on that floor gave me and my wife so much peace in the midst of our worry over our first born.
“If you like how it is going enjoy it because it will change. If you don’t like how it is going, get excited because it will change.”
Patch Adams because he was so caring (and because I love Robin Williams), Dr. Strange (because I love Marvel), and  an of the Nurses that I work with because they all truly care about the patient!Â
