Companies around the United States have kicked off National Nurses Day  on Wednesday, May 6, with discounts, freebies and deals for the week and beyond! 

The International Council of Nurses has also designated 2020 as the ‘International Year of the Nurse and Midwife’ in honor of the 200th birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing.

Nurses week 2020 begins on Wednesday, May 6 and ends on Tuesday, May 12.


Nurse Mystery Box: 

NurseDeals.com is giving away 20 of their ‘Nurse Mystery Boxes,’ valued at $149. In past years, the boxes have included personalized nursing gear such as t-shirts, stethoscopes and badge holders.

Nursing ebooks: 

Amazon offers a selection of free Kindle books for nurses.


Crocs:

Crocs is donating free pairs of Crocs, which are commonly used by nurses, to healthcare workers on the frontlines during the coronavirus pandemic.

Skechers:

Skechers is offering a 30% discount on shoes for nurses and other essential workers through May 31, 2020.

Adidas:

Nurses and other medical professionals can get a 40% discount on adidas.com.

Stethoscope discount: 

Get $20 an EKO Core Digital Stethoscope with the promo code NERDYNURSE, a promotion courtesy of the website The Nerdy Nurse.

Uniform Advantage:

Uniform Advantage, formerly known as Lydia’s Uniforms, offers nurses and other health care workers as much as 30% off during National Nurses Week. Certain print scrubs are as much as 50% off, and the online company also offers a free EKG bracelet with every order made during Nurses Week. Exclusions apply; the sale ends May 12.

Free vacation home stay:

Better Vacations is offering free stays in their vacation homes in Las Vegas and Indianapolis to nurses, from now until May 15. “We want to thank our front line medical staff who are continuing to work countless hours, are traveling to support other hospitals, and who are putting the lives of others before their own,” the company said.

BP Gas:

BP is offering one-time codes to nurses and other healthcare responders for a 50 cent per gallon discount at their next fill up at BP and Amoco stations

Verizon:

Verizon is now expanding its ‘Those Who Serve Plan Discount’ to nurses and teachers. Qualifying new or existing Verizon customers can get unlimited plans for as low as $30 per month for four lines, as well as Fios 200mbps internet for as low as $34.99. Find more information here.


Verb Energy:

During Nurses Week, healthcare workers nationwide can text 415-915-8372 to get Verb energy bars delivered to their door, free of charge.

Corner Bakery Cafe:

Free coffee through May 8, nurses and other healthcare professionals with a valid ID can get a free hand-roasted coffee, to take out or dine in, where available, at participating Corner Bakery Cafe locations.

Chipotle:

As part of a new promotion, nurses and other health care workers will be able to sign up to possibly receive a free burrito from Chipotle Mexican Grill’s “buy one, give one” program. 

McDonald’s:

You can pass through a McD’s drive-thru to get a totally free “Thank You Meal” if you’re a healthcare worker, police officer, paramedic, or firefighter.

Delta Sonic:

Each Delta Sonic location with a brick oven will offer a free meal to “all doctors, nurses, EMTs, firefighters, and police officers with a valid ID.”

Steak ‘N Shake:

Everyone can get a free order of fries in the “We Are All Essential” program. There’s no purchase necessary at all.

Dunkin’ Donuts:

Dunkin’ is offering a free medium hot or iced coffee and donut to nurses and other healthcare professionals, no ID required.

Cinnabon:

Cinnabon has traditionally offered free cinnamon rolls for nurses during National Nurses Week. Offers may vary by location.

Tropical Smoothie Cafe:

Medical professionals and first responders can contact their local Tropical Smoothie shop to have free smoothies delivered to your team.

Krispy Kreme:

Donut anyone? How about enough for the entire staff? Krispy Kreme is giving nurses with valid IDs a dozen free Krispy Kreme donuts every Monday through May 12. There is a limit of up to five dozen per worker.

Mrs. Fields Cookies:

Mrs. Fields is offering 40% off its Heroes Collections cookie tins with the promo code HERO to honor nurses and other frontline workers. The tins can be delivered to your local hospital, doctor’s office, or other medical location

Subway:

Through May 10, for every Subway order of $15 or more made through Postmates, Subway will donate a 6-inch sub to nurses and other healthcare workers.

Jamba Juice:

From May 6 to May 13, whenever you buy a smoothie or bowl for delivery on the Jamba app or jamba.com, Jamba will donate a smoothie to a nurse or other essential worker, including doctors, teachers, and mail carriers. You can nominate a specific nurse or other frontline worker for a freebie on Jamba’s ‘Whirld of Good’ website, which will be live on May 6.

Starbucks:

Nurses and other frontline workers can get a free tall brewed coffee, hot or iced, from Starbucks through the month of May.

Sheetz:

The eatery is offering a free coffee to nurses, hospital workers, and paramedics through June 1.

Insomnia Cookies:

If you send out for a 12-pack of traditional cookies online, you’ll get a code that gives you a free six-pack of cookies to ship to anyone in the country who could use a little sweetness. Drop in the code “COOKIEMAGIC.” (Also, you can totally be the person you send those cookies to if you happen to be the person who’d benefit from some free cookies.)

The deal:
