Jose is an ER/ Trauma ICU Registered Nurse and our Featured Travel Nurse for May 2020. Jose is currently on assignment in New Haven, CT.
We asked Jose to share his experience and adventures as a Travel Nurse…
I have been traveling for less than one year.
My favorite location was Fort Defiance, Arizona.
I became a travel nurse because to see the United States, explore different areas, and to experience different cultures.
What I love most about travel nursing is the opportunity to learn and grow my knowledge and skill set; as well as the ability to teach others what I’ve learned throughout the years.
My most memorable experience in travel nursing is becoming educated and submersed into the Navajo culture; as well as being able to meet the President and VP of the Navajo nation!
My advice is keep an open mind and explore your options. Adaptability is key. It can be a little nerve wracking at first. However, it is well worth it in the end!
