North Carolina is an Enhance Nurse Licensure Compact state, it can be simple to get a state nursing license. When applying for the license, select the option to include a temporary practice permit. The temp license typically arrives in 10-14 business days from the application date and lasts for 6 months while the permanent license is processed. Visit the NC Board of Nursing’s Gateway, a single portal used to submit and manage all licensure and listing applications including Advanced Practice Approvals: https://www.ncbon.com/
Important to Note: Applicants will need licensure verification, using Nursys.com, for each state they hold a registered nursing license in. If verification is needed from a state that doesn’t use Nursys, it will take longer (i.e. California).
